In a recent statement on the game’s website, the studio announced that it had increased the distribution layer capacity to meet the overwhelming demand, resulting in a server reliability rate of over 99.999%. A patch deployed on November 22 addressed key experience issues, and the studio plans to release another stability-focused update during the week of December 2. A third, larger update is scheduled for the week of December 9 to implement additional fixes and improvements. One standout feature of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is its compatibility with marketplace content from its predecessor. However, due to reports of significant issues caused by third-party add-ons, Asobo Studios has temporarily disabled all non-aircraft content from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in the 2024 edition until the problems are resolved. These issues have left some users unable to access the simulator, prompting the studio to take this precautionary measure. Despite the improvements, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 experienced a rough start, reflected in its initial reception on Steam.
