The good news is that users can redeem this amount multiple times if they have sufficient points. It remains unclear whether the removal was a mistake or if Sony decided to reinstate the reward in response to community backlash. This wouldn't be the first time the program has faced controversy, as PlayStation Stars has undergone multiple changes that have not been well received. One major shift came in August when the terms of service were updated, introducing a 12-month expiration period for earned points, reduced from the previous 24 months. Additionally, starting March 1, 2025, users will no longer be able to earn points from PlayStation Plus subscriptions.
